About the Role
Main activities
Fettling, Grinding, Deburring, Polishing of metal components. Fettling components to clean finishes. Working independently and as part of a team Liaise with Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed on time. Read, understand and be able to work from drawings. Clean and maintain work area and equipment. Use various hand tools. Operate within safety guidelines and any operating procedures
Skills & abilities
Significant experience in using Sanders, Air Saws, Electrical Hand Grinders and standard hand tools
Work independently or as part of a team
Working Conditions:
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing heavy steel is required.
Shift times
- 06.00 am to 14.00 or 14.00 to 22.00
